Amazon isn’t the only retailer publishing Prime Day discounts on PC hardware. Newegg, Best Buy, and others are in on the action. We’ve compiled a list of discounts that let you put together a powerful PC for less than $900 using part deals.
This doesn’t cover the cost of a GPU (because good luck finding one at a reasonable price, let alone on sale), but we did manage to include a rapid PCIe 4.0 SSD, 8-core CPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and a B550 motherboard.
LIAN LI PC-O11 | Save $20
The Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic is our favorite PC case. The design is gorgeous, it supports radiator mounting for AIO or custom water-cooling solutions, has enough ventilation for good airflow, and solid thermal performance when everything is up and running. It’s our top pick for best PC cases for very good reason. Remember to use promo code 63FANTECH247 for the $10 discount at checkout.
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X | Save $50
The AMD Ryzen 7 5800X is a solid processor with eight cores and 16 threads. It’s part of AMD’s Ryzen 5000 series and has notable improvements over the 3000 series, including better per-core performance. This is a fantastic CPU for gaming and productivity. Remember to use promo code 63FANTECH575 for the $25 discount at checkout for Newegg.
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO | Save $5
It’s quiet, powerful, and has more than enough thermal capacity to handle even an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X thanks to a max TDP rating of 180W. This cooler will be perfect for the Ryzen 7 5800X and will work well with a few case fans inside the Lian Li case.
ASUS ROG Strix B550-F GAMING | Save $45
This motherboard comes with full support for Ryzen 3000, 4000G, and 5000 series AMD processors. There’s PCIe 4.0 support, dual M.2 slots, USB-C 3.2, 2.5Gb LAN, and a 12+2 power stage design. This is a solid board for an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X processor, even allowing you to do some overclocking.
CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB | Save $20
Corsair’s Vengeance LPX series of RAM is excellent. We’ve recommended it countless times for both Intel and AMD systems and this deal on a 16GB kit is ideal for our Ryzen 7 5800X build. It has a CAS latency rating of CL16 (16-18-18-36), which isn’t too bad at 1.35v. The motherboard we’ve chosen has four DIMM slots, allowing you to buy this kit again to double your RAM to 32GB.
Samsung 980 Pro | Save $20
The Samsung 980 Pro is incredibly fast. It’s a PCIe 4.0 drive to take advantage of our motherboard and AMD processor, allowing for up to 6,400MB/s for reading data off the SSD. This is where you’ll want to install Windows 10 (or Linux) and your favorite apps and games for rapid load times.
CORSAIR CX550F RGB 550W | $20 rebate
This power supply from Corsair has everything you need for a powerful gaming PC. It’s 80 PLUS Bronze certified for better efficiency and less waste, has a 120mm RGB fan, which can be controlled by a motherboard header or internal hub, and uses high-quality premium Japanese capacitors. Corsair backs this PSU with a five-year warranty. You will receive a rebate card in the mail that will need to be used to enjoy the $20 discount from this PSU.
Unfortunately, graphics cards are a different kettle of fish to other PC components in that demand severely outmatches supply. You’ll likely not find any good deals at Amazon, Best Buy, Newegg, and beyond this Prime Day.
Western Digital Blue 2TB | Save $60
This optional SATA HDD from Western Digital won’t win any awards for data speeds, but it does score high for capacity and value. The 2TB space will hold countless games at 40GB apiece. The price per GB is just $0.02, making this an ideal option for storing large amounts of data.
