Amazfit announced its new flagship smartwatches GTS 2 and GTR 2 at an event in China three months ago, and just four weeks later, the wearables escaped the domestic market, heading to the United States and the United Kingdom.
The company has even bigger plans for its GT 2 lineup however and has now confirmed it will introduce “more GTS 2 and GTR 2 products” during CES 2021.
The devices we expect to see are the GTS 2e and GTR 2e – the cheaper Wi-Fi-deprived versions that already debuted in China. They share the physical appearance with their vanilla siblings, but due to the limited connectivity options, the battery life is greatly extended.
Another wearable we hope to see is the Amazfit GTS 2 mini – it is a smaller variant of the GTS 2 and is already selling in India; however, the Western markets don’t have it yet, and it would be great to see a bigger Amazfit portfolio across the globe.
Zepp, another wearable brand under Huami’s umbrella will also make a debut at CES 2021, where it will showcase “its ambitious vision and the latest additions to its smartwatch series.” The Zepp Z is already selling in the US, but we’ll see the Zepp E Square and Zepp E Circle make an appearance.
The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) usually happens in Las Vegas, United States, but this time it is scheduled between January 11 and January 14 to take place online with no in-person attendance.
